Senior Environmental Officer - Global Manufacturer near Blackpool: Up to £51.7k+Package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Environmental Officer to join a leading Global Manufacturing Company based in Blackpool.
This permanent position is suited for Environmental professionals with a background in environmental management & sustainability within Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Construction, or Process Industries.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the Senior Environmental Officer will be responsible for:
1. Supporting the Environmental Manager and Head of Sustainability with development and implementation of Sustainability action plans.
2. Delivering emissions reduction aligned with Carbon Footprint goals.
3. Collecting data and reporting to ensure compliance with ESG reporting requirements (including carbon and energy reporting).
4. Developing and implementing a company-wide Sustainability training and employee engagement scheme to promote behavioral and cultural change regarding Sustainability issues.
5. Collaborating with the Senior Quality Manager to deliver internal & external audit programs.
The schemes will range from direct involvement with operating teams to advising managers on environmental legislation and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience in Manufacturing, Production, Construction, Process, or Engineering environments, within Environmental and/or Sustainability, Quality, or Continuous Improvement functions.
2. Knowledge of industry standards related to environmental management & sustainability, with a deep understanding of current trends and regulations.
3. Experience in internal and external audits, including supplier audits.
4. IEMA Associate Member or equivalent qualification is preferred.
5. Experience supporting the implementation and maintenance of Environmental Management Systems and Sustainability improvements.
6. Proficiency in IT skills (Microsoft Office and Management Systems).
7. Ability to influence and persuade without direct authority.
8. Self-motivated with good planning, influencing, and working capabilities with minimal supervision.

Salary & Package: Up to £51,700 plus benefits including pension (7% employee / 9% employer), death in service, flexible working, and 25 days annual leave.
