An established and well-respected family run organisation is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations across a diverse portfolio. This role will be between 25-30 hours a week. This is a varied, hands-on role offering genuine responsibility, autonomy, and regular interaction external accountants, and professional advisers. Based in a professional, close-knit environment, the role would suit someone who enjoys breadth, ownership, and working within a stable, long-term setting. What will the Bookkeeper role involve? Managing day-to-day bookkeeping. Managing multiple bank accounts and preparing regular cashflow forecasts. Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations (with external support as required). Running Sage payroll, including HMRC submissions, pensions and end-of-year processes. Preparing information for annual accounts and liaising with external accountants. Preparing financial reports for quarterly Board with attendance as required. Suitable Candidate for the Bookkeeper vacancy: Proven experience in a broad bookkeeping or financial administration role.
