About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
For you, as a Housekeeping Assistant, that will mean keeping the home the cleanest, most hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming. The environment you maintain will reflect your excellent eye for detail. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you’ll do so with kindness and professionalism.
HC-One is looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, although we will provide comprehensive training. You’ll need excellent time management and organizational skills. Beyond that, your positive energy and natural ability to get along with people are vital. You should be a great communicator, skilled at listening and giving instructions. When communicating with residents or colleagues, always be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their roles and undertake additional training as needed. You should be proactive in seeking advice and reporting concerns, including escalation if necessary.
We’ll provide full training, making this a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy a wide range of benefits and support for your physical and psychological well-being, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
* Group life assurance cover
* Wagestream - financial wellbeing and flexible pay access
* Award-winning learning and development programs with qualification opportunities
* GP online - 24/7 GP consultations via an app, available for you and your children under 16
* Learning from experienced colleagues within a supportive team
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Wellbeing support through a confidential Employee Assistance Programme
* Recognition schemes such as ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a friend scheme offering up to £1000 per successful referral
