I am working exclusively with a highly regarded, medium-sized construction consultancy based in London, who are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
This consultancy has built an excellent reputation in the market, delivering projects across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, hospitality, and PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation). Their collaborative culture, diverse project portfolio, and strong client base make this a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QS who is seeking a long-term career move.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing cost consultancy services across multiple projects, ensuring delivery is on time and within budget. You’ll be involved from early feasibility through to final accounts, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and contributing to the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing full pre- and post-contract cost management services
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
* Managing contracts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Leading client meetings and maintaining strong client relationships
* Mentoring junior team members and supporting their professional development
* Working collaboratively with project teams to ensure successful outcomes
About You
* MRICS qualified (or working towards chartership)
* Proven track record delivering projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, and/or PBSA sectors
* Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts and procurement methods
* Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
* Motivated, professional, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
