Hybrid role which requires a minim of 2 office days per week (Uxbridge)
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to lead our supply chain operations and ensure efficient, cost-effective processes across forecasting, procurement, inventory management, inbound logistics, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in budget planning, product lifecycle analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role will have three direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Financial Planning (AOP & LE):
* Ensure timely preparation of AOP & Latest Estimate (LE) review files and participate in budget cycles and scenario planning.
* Prepare and present inventory and stock cover projections for AOP & Latest Estimate (LE) and participate in budget cycles and scenario planning.
* Prepare Freight In & Duty projections
* Lead preparation of standard cost of goods (COG) roll-ups based on product cost changes.
* Prepare and maintain obsolescence and waste provisions, including item-level analysis for ageing, discontinued, and QC stock and supplier liabilities.
Inventory, Planning & Product Lifecycle
* Lead monthly Objectives Meetings to track KPIs and supply chain targets, highlighting key takeaways and escalating issues.
* Lead Planning MFC (Manufacturing Forecast Capacity) analysis
* Manage discontinuation proposals quarterly, ensuring clear alignment with Sales and Operations on exit strategy.
* Develop and maintain pallet space and warehouse inbound/outbound flow projections.
Demand Planning Oversight
* Provide strategic oversight and direction for the demand planning process, ensuring alignment with business goals and supply capabilities.
* Collaborate with the Demand Planner and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance) to validate assumptions and major forecast drivers.
* Review and challenge high-level demand forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities for key product categories and customers.
* Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by contributing to consensus planning and escalation of supply/demand imbalances
Change Management:
* Maintain top-level oversight of New Activities such as new product launches, redesigns, supplier changes, QC concerns, or large product listings that may impact stockholding.
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure full alignment ahead of changes and new activities.
Supplier Management:
* Responsible for supplier relationship management this role will have regular touch bases with suppliers to tackle issues, price changes and improvement programs, including activities surrounding supplier onboarding.
Maintain the Supplier Bible, monitoring supplier liabilities and KPI’s
Key Skills and Experience:
* Strong analytical and forecasting abilities; comfortable with Excel-based modelling and ERP systems.
* Experience in financial operations, budget management and producing inventory – freight projections.
* Familiarity with international freight, customs duties, and warehouse capacity planning.
* Prior experience managing waste and obsolescence strategies.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
* 5+ years of experience in supply chain management with responsibility for supplier management, cost analysis, and strategic planning.
* Certification (e.g., APICS CPIM/CSCP, CIPS, Six Sigma) is advantageous.
