A large services-based organisation in Leeds is seeking a driven and analytically minded FP&A Analyst to support financial planning, performance reporting, and commercial insight across the business. Key Responsibilities
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

\tSupport the annual budget, quarterly reforecasting, and long‑term planning cycles

\tConsolidate financial inputs from multiple departments, ensuring accuracy and consistency
\t
\t
*
\tAssist with scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support decision‑making
\t

\tChallenge assumptions and highlight risks, opportunities, and trends
\t
Performance Reporting & Insight
\t
*
\tPrepare monthly management reporting packs, including P&L, cashflow, KPIs, and variance analysis
\t
\t
*
\tInvestigate performance drivers and provide clear, concise commentary
\t
\t
*
\tTrack operational and commercial KPIs, identifying areas for improvement
\t
\t
*
\tSupport the month‑end process with analysis and insight rather than transactional work
\t
Business Partnering
\t
*
\tWork closely with operational and commercial teams to provide financial support and challenge
\t
\t
*
\tTranslate financial data into meaningful insight for non‑finance stakeholders
\t
\t
*
\tSupport business cases, investment appraisals, and cost‑benefit analysis
\t
\t
*
\tBuild strong relationships across the organisation to improve financial understanding

Process & Systems Improvement
\t
*
\tEnhance reporting tools, dashboards, and data quality
\t
\t
*
\tSupport automation and standardisation of FP&A processes
\t
\t
*
\tContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
\t
\t
*
\tAssist with system upgrades or BI tool development (e., Power BI)
\t
Ad‑Hoc Analysis
\t

\tProvide analytical support for strategic projects, pricing reviews, and operational initiatives
\t
\t
*
\tPrepare presentations and insight for senior leadership and board‑level reporting
\t
Candidate Profile
Skills & Experience
\t
*
\tStrong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting
\t
\t
*
\tAdvanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous
\t
\t
*
\tExperience in a large, multi‑site or services‑based organisation is beneficial
\t
\t
*
\tComfortable working with large data sets and producing clear, insightful analysis
\t
