Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is to ensure compliance with the Clinical Pathways system while assessing and triaging patients over the telephone, making appropriate referrals as required.
You will manage calls from the general public, offering clinical advice and guidance on health‑related issues in a telephone triage role.
The call centre operates 24/7, and you will be required to participate in out‑of‑hours work, including bank holidays, weekends, and potentially extra hours during peak periods.
Full‑time (37.5 hours) and part‑time (15 hours) contracts are available. The role is ideal for candidates who are flexible regarding working hours and can handle out‑of‑hours duties.
Qualifications
* At least 1 year of clinical experience.
* Clinical registration with NMC or HCPC.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Willingness to undertake and successfully complete 2 weeks training for NHS Pathways plus a period of direct and indirect supervision.
* Experience working in a primary care environment, A&E, MAU/EAU.
Upon successful application, candidates will be required to complete Pathways training, which will be paid for and is part of the contract. Career progression opportunities are available within the 111 service.
