Location: St Leonards-on-SeaHours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per weekContract: Permanent Our engineering client is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Turner to join their precision manufacturing team. This role involves programming (preferred but not essential), setting and operating CNC lathes producing high-quality components in a range of specialist materials.Key Responsibilities
o Programming (where applicable), setting and operating CNC sliding-head and multi-axis fixed-head lathes
o Producing precision components from stainless steel, aluminium and exotic metals
o Machining bar diameters ranging from approximately 1mm to 200mm
o Interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring strict quality standards
o Optimising machining processes for efficiency and accuracy
o Maintaining safe working practices and equipment care
Skills & Experience Required
o Proven CNC turning experience in a precision engineering environment
o Strong setting and operating capability; programming experience advantageous
o Familiarity with Fanuc controls highly desirable
o Experience working with a variety of metals including stainless steel, aluminium and exotic alloys
o Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances
o Reliable, detail-focused team player with good problem-solving skills
