The Data Services division of the Data and Analytics sub‑directorate aims to be the leading data services provider for health and social care across England, creating innovative and high‑quality data products and services that enable the delivery of best outcomes for citizens.
Main duties of the job
* Federated Data Platform and Common Data Platform projects
* Curation of national data sets for onward use (Hospital Episode Statistics, Community and Mental Health, Vaccines, Prescriptions)
* NHS Workforce Data projects
* Get it right first time (GIRFT) – a national programme designed to improve the treatment and care of patients
* Support the Tech and Data Integration team to define common data models and ensure appropriate reference and master data management
* Build and maintain data pipelines, products and datasets
* Support ingestion, transformation, and validation processes
* Work with analysts to deliver data products
* Follow best practice in coding, testing, and deployment
* Contribute to improving team processes and documentation
* Support junior colleagues where appropriate

* Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will typically be appointed at the bottom of the pay band. Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in our offices.
