Overview
Production Manager to join our expanding team at our site in Barton-upon-Humber. The candidate will work Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:30. Salary: £40,000 plus Quarterly Bonus up to £1,250.
Responsibilities
* Manage the smooth running of the production department, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently and meet the company’s high quality standards
* Assess production requirements and determine resource needs and work allocation to plan production operations effectively
* Regularly monitor the department’s critical list, prioritising urgent requirements to prevent internal delays or customer shortages
* Monitor and maintain records of employee timekeeping and absences, liaising with HR for support as required
* Assess and review staff performance, providing constructive and positive feedback to support professional development
* Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
* Ensure all equipment, materials and supplies are readily available to carry out production processes
* Collaborate with the Health & Safety department to develop or update standard operating procedures and safe working practices for production operations
* Ensure team members comply with Health & Safety policies, reporting issues to management
* Work closely with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure machinery is in good working order and report breakdowns or quality issues immediately
* Conduct team briefs to clearly communicate targets, achievements and changes
* Manage departmental issues and queries, escalating to Senior Management as required
In addition to duties, you must read, understand and adhere to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
