Role: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £31,650 (MPS1) – £49,084 (UPS3) – Depending on experience

New Directions are working in partnership with a well-respected secondary school in Canterbury to recruit an enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join their experienced team. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to shape the minds of tomorrow’s tech leaders in a school that values creativity, innovation, and high-quality teaching.
The Role:
1. Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience would also be helpful, but not essential)
2. Inspire students with your subject knowledge and enthusiasm for technology and computing
3. Work collaboratively within a well-established ICT & Computing department
4. Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities, including coding clubs and STEM initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas teaching qualification
6. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Computer Science
7. Excellent classroom management and communication skills
8. A commitment to nurturing learners of all abilities and fostering a positive learning environment
