Branta Recruitment are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Engineer with ammonia (NH₃) experience to join a well-established and growing engineering team based in the North East. Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out installation, servicing, and maintenance of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems, including ammonia (NH₃) and CO₂ plant.
*
Diagnose and repair faults efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
*
Provide excellent technical support and advice to customers and colleagues.
*
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
*
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
*
Work flexibly as part of a regional standby rota to provide out-of-hours support.
The Ideal Candidate
*
Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial refrigeration (NH₃ essential; CO₂ advantageous).
*
Strong technical knowledge of plant operation, compressors, condensers, and control systems.
*
Relevant F-Gas certification and ammonia handling qualification.
*
Confident communicator with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
*
Full UK driving licence.
Package & Benefits

£45,000–£55,000 basic salary (graded to experience).

Additional 10–20% earnings via bonuses.
