Reactive Nights Private Ambulance Crew – 4 on 4 off shift pattern – shift timings 7pm to 7am or 8.30pm – 8.30am; 12-hour shift. Pay: 180 shifts a year will earn £38,405.52 pa. About Us Pure Cremation Limited is a specialist Company providing Direct Cremation funeral services. The team has more than 30 years’ experience of serving the bereaved and the people that matter to them. The main purpose of the role is collecting the deceased from the place of death or residency and bringing them back to our care at our purpose built facility in Andover. All of the roles will also include the removal of jewellery, medical devices and materials unsuitable for cremation. The successful candidate will be responsible for: To collect the deceased from their place of death or containment and bring them into the Company’s care in a manner which affords the deceased both respect and dignity, in line with the Company’s process and procedures and prevailing best practice. To transport the deceased as instructed to Doctors, Crematorium or other venues as applicable. To act as a Brand Ambassador for the Company, ensuring that all activity undertaken reflects the company in a positive way and delivers exemplary Customer Service. Key skills requirement Appearance – Be smart and well presented in the provided uniform at all times, ensuring that your vehicle is presented in a similar manner. Communication – Have excellent listening and communication skills to be able to answer customer questions, extract appropriate information and deliver outstanding Customer care; being especially aware that some customers may be vulnerable. Accuracy – Must have the ability to record information in an accurate way and ensure that all process and procedures are adhered with in a methodical and compliant way. IT Skills -Become expert in the use of the Body Tracking Application and ensure 100% compliance with its utilisation. The successful applicant will hold a valid full driving licence and be willing to travel across the whole of England and Wales and be subject to a DBS (Criminal Records) check. You will be physically fit as the role is physically demanding, and involves manual handling. You will also be smart in appearance, respectful and caring of both the deceased and the families that we serve. As an ambulance operative covering the night shift, the 12 hour shift at either of our Andover locations is where you will meet your colleague and collect the ambulance. Working four 12 hour shifts at night before having 4 nights rest, inclusive of a one hour unpaid break. The shifts will include weekends and bank holidays on a rolling basis, 4 on and 4 off. When not on a reactive transfer duties will include carrying out vehicle checks and cleaning, checking cleaning and maintaining equipment and looking after the deceased in our care. This may involve transferring deceased and coffins between our facilities. No Funeral experience is either expected or required for any of this role. Full training will be provided.
