We’re seeking a sporty and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school environment in the Ystradgynlais area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who require additional behavioural support, helping them engage with education through structure, activity, and positive relationships.
The Role:
Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in a classroom and outdoor setting.
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, particularly in sports and physical education activities.
Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Acting as a positive role model to pupils aged 8–16 with a range of complex behavioural challenges.

Ideal Candidate:
Background in sports, coaching, or active youth work.
Experience working with children or young people, especially in behaviour support roles.
Strong communication, resilience, and a team-player attitude.
Calm under pressure, patient, and able to build strong, respectful relationships with pupils.
