Key Responsibilities:
Build trusting and supportive relationships with clients struggling with opiate addiction.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ individual needs, goals, and barriers to recovery.
Develop personalized recovery plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on opiate-specific interventions.
Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions, offering emotional support and evidence-based strategies for managing cravings and triggers.
Deliver educational workshops to enhance clients’ understanding of opiate addiction, withdrawal symptoms, and overdose prevention.
Collaborate with medical professionals and treatment teams to ensure clients’ physical and mental health needs are addressed.
Monitor progress, track milestones, and adjust recovery plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Facilitate access to community resources, social services, and support networks to enhance clients’ overall well-being.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in substance misuse or addiction support, with a focus on opiates.
Solid knowledge of opiate addiction, withdrawal symptoms, and evidence-based interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Empathetic and nonjudgmental attitude towards individuals facing addiction challenges.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Familiarity with relevant community resources and treatment options.
Certification or training in addiction counseling, harm reduction, or related areas is a plus.
