Job Description
Finance Manager Surbiton, Surrey. Hybrid Working Available Manage the accounting function of one of the company's subsidiaries. Manage a team of two to deliver timely and accurate monthly financials ensuring correct cost centre allocations, manage fixed asset registers, manage sales and purchase ledgers, manage intercompany transactions, manage banking processes and perform reconciliations. The role is also required to strongly support VAT and Corporation Tax returns and Statutory Accounts preparation.Accounting
3. Accurate and timely completion of month end activities with correct cost centre allocations and intercompany accounting.
4. Review journals and workings/calculations prepared by team members, ensuring there is sufficient and adequate supporting documentation.
5. Review TB and month end flash results with Divisional directors or stakeholders.
6. Manage the maintenance of fixed asset registers, ensuring correct technical treatment.
7. Raise technical accounting queries with the Financial Accounting team.
8. Manage the maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers, including master data and purchase order management.
9. Manage banking activities (including the receiving and settling of intercompany balances).
10. Ensure monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation files are completed accurately and escalate risks or ageing as appropriate.
11. Build relationships with intercompany parties and manage monthly transactions
Management
12. Managing a Trainee Accountant and Purchase Ledger Accountant, ensuring resource is best used across the team and supporting development needs when required.
13. Lead by example and set an appropriate tone within the team; promote a positive, open and friendly working environment where each team member is valued, supported and challenged.
Compliance
14. Support Financial Accounting team in preparing Financial Statements.
15. Deliver information required by auditors in line with agreed timetable.
16. Manage the preparation of VAT and Corporation Tax returns
17. Ensure financial controls are in place and evidence is documented
The Successful Applicant
18. Fully qualified accountant with current knowledge of IFRS.
19. People Management experience even if it's just one person
20. Intercompany experience highly desirable
21. Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
22. Great attention to detail
23. Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
24. Ability to communicate at all levels

25. Salary £57,000 - £62,000 + Bonus
