Overview
This role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract for maternity cover.
The Depot Operations Supervisor reports to the Retail Sales & Operations Manager (RSOM) who has overall responsibility for the depot and service across:
* Customer Services
* Delivery fleet
* Cold store Warehouse
This is a great opportunity to develop management skills and gain experience in different aspects of business delivery.
Role: 40 hours per week, any 5 of 6 days (closed Sundays).
Compensation: £14.94 per hour.
Responsibilities
* An integral member of the leadership team, modelling passion and commitment to deliver outstanding service to customers.
* Driving the consistent delivery of established processes and operational standards.
* Tracking the team’s performance against daily, weekly and monthly targets.
* Developing the operational performance of the depot and the skills of the team.
* Managing health & safety, stock management, local delivery fleet and facilities maintenance.
* Participating in day‑to‑day tasks, including deliveries (full UK driving licence essential).

Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience leading a team within retail, wholesale, customer service or operational/logistics environments.
* Knowledge of commercial, P&L and budget management.
* Health & safety training.
* Food safety training.
* Experience developing a team.
* Experience implementing operational policies and processes.
