About the RoleHays is proud to partner with HM Prisons to supply skilled maintenance and support operatives. We are currently recruiting Prison Security Escorts (also known as Contractor Escorts) to join the team at HMP The Mount. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in a secure environment, with potential pathways to permanent roles.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Prison Security Escort, you will play a vital role in maintaining safety and security while external contractors carry out work within the prison. Your duties will include:
1. - Meeting and signing in contractors at the main gate
2. - Conducting tool checks before and after work ispleted
3. - Escorting contractors to and from work areas and during breaks
4. - Supervising contractors during their tasks
5. - Ensuring strict adherence to prison security protocols
6. - Supporting other operational tasks as required
This is a non-supervisory operational support role.

9. - Honest, observant, and confident in reporting concerns
10. - Proactive and capable of working independently
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
11. - Pass a full prison security clearance and enhanced DBS check (arranged by Hays and the MOJ)
12. - Provide a valid passport or full birth certificate and photo driving licence (at your current address)
13. - Show proof of National Insurance and a recent proof of address (dated within the last 3 months)
14. - Supply satisfactory references covering the last 3 years
