Job Advert - SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School, Accrington
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Salary: Dependent on experience
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team at our primary school in Accrington. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
* Provide tailored support to help pupils access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
* Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Support pupils in developing their confidence, independence, and positive relationships.
* Encourage and promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
We are looking for someone who is:
* Patient, nurturing, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
* Able to use initiative and adapt strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
* A good communicator, with strong teamwork skills.
* Reliable, flexible, and committed to the school community.
