About the role: In this role, you will collaborate across the business to define and refine our learning strategy in alignment with our business objectives. You will identify emerging trends and best practices in learning and development to inform strategic decision-making. As Head of Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Mears' future and empowering our diverse workforce across housing, social care, and maintenance services. You'll lead a team responsible for equipping employees with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours necessary to excel in a complex and demanding environment. This includes leading needs identification, designing and delivering impactful training programs (induction, compliance, job-specific), and fostering a culture of continuous learning. By leveraging technology through a robust Learning Management System (LMS), you'll ensure program accessibility, engagement, and effectiveness across a geographically dispersed workforce. Your efforts will translate directly into exceptional service for our residents, making a significant, positive impact on a large scale. Your responsibilities will include introducing innovative learning programmes tailored to different employee levels and overseeing our early careers strategy. Your role will involve developing organisational capabilities and behavioural frameworks to support ongoing business transformation and cultural change, including our leadership development offer. Leading a team of L&D SMEs, you will ensure resources are strategically aligned while overseeing the day-to-day running of the Learning department.
