Experienced Butcher Due to expansion The House of Bruar is looking for an experienced butcher to join our friendly, award winning team. Role Responsibilities Work on all aspects of the butchery department, from product selection and procurement to presentation and selling.Demonstrate expert knowledge and skills in butchery, including deboning, trimming, grinding, and packaging of various types of meats.Provide superior customer service, advising customers on the best choice of meats and poultry based on their needs and preferences.Ensure all products are of the highest quality, meeting or exceeding the standards of The House of Bruar and the local health regulations.Train and mentor junior butchers/counter assistants, instilling a commitment to quality, a deep understanding of our products, and a dedication to excellent service.Oversee stock control and inventory, ensuring that all meats and poultry are adequately stocked, and waste is minimised.Ensure compliance with all relevant food hygiene and workplace safety regulations. Qualifications Experience as a Butcher, with a deep understanding of different meat types, their uses, and butchery techniques.Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and storage.Formal training in butchery or a related field essential.
