JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Quality Control Operative to work at a recycling plant based in Carrington, M31.
Main Responsibilities:
* Working in a safe and efficient manner as instructed by the Shift Manager.
* To ensure that environmental issues are reported immediately to site Management
* To ensure that you are at you place of work in a timely manner as required by the business.
* To attend site Safety / operational briefing as required.
* To work in accordance with the Site rules and procedures.
* To adhere to site rules and PPE requirements at all times.
* Report Hazards, near misses and incidents immediately.
Specific Tasks:
* Working on the sorting line or equivalent to ensure the material grades meet the required specification of the market.
* To ensure that bales of material meet the desired quality specification through inspection and "dressing".
* To undertake housekeeping tasks as directed by site management.
* To undertake sampling of the material as required by the company Code of Practice or Commercial Contracts.
* Complete the necessary paperwork and update relevant spreadsheets to allow accurate recording of sampling data
* Report non-conforming material in a timely manner as per customer requirements
* To undertake Confidential Waste Activities as per the Company Guidelines.
* Any task deemed reasonable as per the training and competence of the operator.
The working hours for this role are Monday - Friday rotating 6am-2:30pm / 2pm-10:30pm, so candidates must be able to work both shifts
The pay rate for this role is £13.01 per hour
