We are looking for a Joiner to join our Repairs and Maintenance team to cover the Calderdale area. As a Joiner you will provide all types of joinery repairs to tenanted and vacant properties with a customer service quality‑driven repair and maintenance service.

Responsibilities
* Carry out all types of joinery repairs to both tenanted and vacant properties in accordance with job tickets, opti‑time appointment slots, specifications and contract drawings, to good practice, Building Regulations, etc., as appropriate.
* Work with an ethos of “Right First Time”, completing a repair where practicable in one visit, with good quality workmanship and performance standards.
* Organise work to minimise lost or non‑productive time, highlighting pro‑actively if you have too much or too little work so that work can be re‑allocated or additional work allocated as appropriate.
* Assist in addressing peaks and troughs in workload by working overtime and at other times when requested by prior arrangement with your manager. Participate in a stand‑by or call‑out rota.
* Use initiative to diagnose and undertake a repair that may differ from the job required, or where the job required was of a locate fault type nature. Obtain approval beforehand where the job is more expensive than anticipated or will take much longer than anticipated.
* Work to a consistently high standard of workmanship in line with service specifications, service standards, safe working procedures and as part of a team to ensure efficient use of time, materials and resources.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full manual UK driver’s licence.
* Experience of working competently in all disciplines normally expected of a qualified joiner, along with other associated building disciplines as required.
* Relevant qualification and experience, e.g. City and Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent (NVQ Level 2).
* Experience of working in a customer‑service environment.
* Experience of maximising the number of jobs completed and repairs completed in one visit.

* Scheduled between 08:00 and 19:30 across any five days from Monday to Saturday. Typical week: Monday‑Thursday 08:00‑16:00 and Friday 08:00‑15:30.
* Extra earnings available through a call‑out rota. Mandatory call‑out rota includes 4 weeks on call per year starting April 2026.
