Main purpose of the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our West Midlands region. The main base will be from our regional head office which is shortly moving to Fort Dunlop, Birmingham, and due to the nature of the role it will involve some travel throughout the region. The successful candidate will work as part of the support the Commercial Team; surveying activities on a number of standard developments from the initial procurement phase through to final account in full compliance with the companies policies and procedures.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be involved in the below activity;
Compiling documentation such as site start budgets Producing various reports and schedules Facilitating the payment of subcontractors Monitoring and control of variations and customer extras and filing Maintains effective communication and delivers positive outcomes for external and internal customers HS&S Responsibilities

Skills, Knowledge, Experience
We are looking for someone who fits with our core values here at Keepmoat; they will be passionate about the building industry and have previous experience in a similar role. They will be collaborative and confident building relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. They will be creative and bring a flexible and agile approach to their work.They will be solutions focused and work in a straightforward way to ensure the commercial team meets its targets.
A high level of computer literacy in MS Office is essential, as is a full UK driving licence and the ability to travel within the region.
Education and Qualifications
The successful candidate will either be working towards or hold the relevant industry requirements; RICS and a surveying degree or HND.
