Position: Workshop Plant Engineer
Location: Dartford
Salary: £24.40 per hour + Overtime Available
Join a busy workshop supporting essential equipment for construction and maintenance operations. You'll be part of a skilled engineering team focused on safety, quality and keeping plant running efficiently.
Overview
* Service, repair and maintain heavy plant, machinery and small tools
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
* Diagnose faults, source parts and complete effective repairs
* Work independently or within a team
* Complete all maintenance paperwork accurately
* Follow all health & safety procedures and challenge unsafe practices
* Support general workshop tasks and maintain a clean work area
Requirements
Essential
* Heavy plant experience (mechanical, electrical & hydraulic)
* Diagnostic skills (fault finding & repair)
* Mig welding/fabrication ability
* Strong communication & teamwork
* Self-motivated with good attention to detail
* Able to work under pressure
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* CSCS Card
* City & Guilds (Levels 1-3)
* Experience with cranes or white-lining equipment
Salary & Benefits
* £24.40 per hour
* Monday - Friday
* 45 hour weekly rotating shifts:
o Week 1: 06:00-16:00
o Week 2: 07:00-17:00
* Overtime available
* Training & development opportunities
* Travel to other sites as required
