SEA UK LTD are a technical wholesaler in the gate automation industry. We are small company based in Kings Norton Birmingham.
Employees are expected to be involved with all operations of the company assisting any departments as work load dictates. We are looking for a new team member with the interest and ability to provide technical assistance to customers, normally on the phone, as well as assist in the well running of the office and warehouse.
Full training will be given to any candidate as an intimate knowledge of gate automation equipment is not expected. We do however need a logical thinker and the ability to understand simple wiring diagrams and control panel instructions.
Customer Contact
Servicing the existing customer base, taking orders and processing payments
Arranging delivery via couriers and Royal-mail
Technical assistance to support customers in installing and troubleshooting complex electronic systems
Administration
Raising orders / quotations / invoices
Keeping customer records up to date
Managing orders and keeping notes updated
Warehouse duties
Packing equipment, booking couriers, placing orders and maintaining stock levels.
Check all incoming stock deliveries against orders and delivery notes.
Advise on any discrepancies and Keeping appropriate records
Store goods in appropriate locations and pick customers orders quickly and accurately
Adhere to stock control management systems
Check stock levels as necessary
Technical assistance, servicing and testing
Testing returned electrical equipment for faults
Servicing hydraulic motors, changing seals and testing on full size gates
Advising customers on how to program gate systems, rectify fault conditions over the phone. Skills you will require
Experience in an electrical role, understanding control panels programming and wiring. such as intercoms, alarms or telephone systems
Good organization skills, attention to detail
Fluent written and verbal communication
Well versed in IT (Outlook, Excel)
Experience of Sage Accounts or similar would be beneficial but not essential
Be able to lift and carry heavy equipment
Ability to work in a small team and on your own initiative
Experience:
A levels or High Grade GCSE's.
Minimum GCSE 7 or above in English language.
Computer literacy essential.
Interested in science and mechanics
some electrical understanding preferred.
confidence in a customer based environment.
