About the role
The Property Officer is responsible for the carrying out of general maintenance of the hospital buildings, grounds, equipment and facilities.
This position will also be responsible for ensuring that any external contractors undertaking maintenance of hospital grounds, buildings or equipment are meeting their responsibilities and Health and Safety requirements.
This is a permanent position for 15 hours per fortnight and is located at Royston Hospital in Hawkes Bay.

About you
As the Property Officer, you will have the ability to prioritise work and work effectively with people across the business.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:
1. Trade qualification preferable, or at least 1 -3 years’ experience
2. Ability to effectively and safely use power tools and maintenance equipment
3. Practical experience with plumbing and electrical matters
4. Experience with Interior Decorating (painting, paper hanging)
5. Have a “can do” attitude and works well in a team
6. Honesty and reliability
7. Current driver's license essential.
