Physiotherapist
Posted: 14 September
Offer description

Overview

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, dynamic Physiotherapist who can demonstrate commitment to the provision of high-quality person-centred care.

Participate in the Physiotherapy rotational scheme, working across Torbay and South Devon Healthcare Trust sites in a range of ward settings, out-patient departments, intermediate care settings, patients' own homes and community. Rotations are 4 monthly. Band 5s have support of a senior mentor, regular supervision and preceptorship scheme. Career and personal development across all clinical areas is encouraged.

Provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to general musculoskeletal out-patients, in- and out-patient trauma and orthopaedics, medical and surgical, neurology, elderly and intermediate care. Community rehabilitation and specialist rehabilitation services. Specialist inpatient services in ICU and CCU.

Deputise for more senior staff in their absence, taking responsibility for allocating and organising the work of physiotherapy assistant staff to meet priorities on a daily basis.

We are located in a beautiful part of Devon with easy access to coastal and moorland areas. Offers an excellent opportunity for work/life balance, but would provide a challenge for non-drivers to access all rotations due to the remoteness of some locations. In order to fulfil this role, employees should have access to a car or appropriate transport as public transport options are restricted.

Main duties

* Daily interventions with clients in a variety of settings including assessment, intervention and discharge planning. Working alongside therapy colleagues and MDT.
* Use of IT systems within the Trust for recording of data and interventions.
* Core skills in communication, health and safety, risk assessment, personal and people and service development, engagement in peer review and achievement reviews, responsibility for health and wellbeing, quality and professional practice.
* Maintain and uphold professional standards of Physiotherapy practice within Trust and HCPC guidelines.
