You will work collaboratively with psychologists, nurse prescribers, and family members to ensure holistic, family‑centred care. Each young person will have completed: initial referral screening and risk stratification; baseline forms/family/developmental history; a structured diagnostic interview (e.g., Conors/DIVA or similar), conducted by an assistant or clinical psychologist; and supporting reports from parents and schools. Your role is to synthesise this information, conduct a full psychiatric evaluation, confirm or exclude an ADHD diagnosis, and initiate pharmacological treatment where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct 60‑minute diagnostic assessments (Assessment B) based on DSM‑5/ICD‑11
* Review supporting documentation from families, schools, and the psychology team
* Provide diagnostic feedback and engage families in shared decision‑making
* Prescribe and monitor ADHD medications in accordance with NICE and BNF‑C guidelines
* Lead titration appointments: initial titration (30 mins clinical + 15 mins admin) and follow‑ups (20 mins clinical + 10 mins admin)
* Monitor treatment response and side effects using patient‑submitted data
* Participate in safeguarding decision‑making and escalates concerns appropriately
* Attend monthly multidisciplinary team meetings and optional peer supervision sessions
* Maintain high standards of documentation and digital governance via EMIS

What We Offer

* A structured, family‑inclusive remote ADHD pathway with a focus on clinical quality
* Pre‑assessment data, baseline screening, and structured interviews completed prior to your review
* Multidisciplinary support from psychology, nursing, and admin teams
* Robust safeguarding systems and digital clinical alerts
* Remote‑first working model with autonomy and schedule flexibility
* Regular opportunities for peer learning and professional development
* Medico‑legally sound governance model with shared responsibility

Requirements

* Full GMC registration and CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or equivalent)

* Skilled in family engagement, school liaison, and neurodevelopmental formulation
