Year 3/4 Class Teacher
Fixed Term Contract 2.5 days a week

Due to our numbers on roll increasing recently we are looking to appoint a year 3/ 4 Class Teacher. We are looking for a highly dedicated and enthusiastic teacher, ideally with experience of teaching key stage 2 classes, and who will also contribute both across the school as a whole and to create links with St-Michael’s church and the wider community. The successful applicant will be an excellent classroom practitioner who delivers high quality, differentiated teaching and learning experiences and who will embrace the ethos of the class whilst maintaining the current high standards of attainment and achievement for all learners. They will have the opportunity to work with a friendly and collaborative school team and to lead the development of areas of the school curriculum through the school’s on-going monitoring and development schedule.
St Michael’s C.I.W. School is a small, friendly Church in Wales primary school located in the rural village of Kerry, near Newtown in Powys. The school serves the village and surrounding rural community and currently educates 97 learners. Founded in 1868, the school has developed into a welcoming and inclusive learning environment with modern facilities, including a spacious hall, library, nurture room and extensive outdoor learning areas set within attractive grounds. The school is proud of its strong Christian ethos and its close links with the local church and community. Staff work collaboratively to provide a caring, supportive environment where learners feel safe, valued and motivated to achieve their best. The school has a dedicated staff team, supportive governors and strong relationships with parents and the wider community, creating a positive and collaborative environment for both learners and staff.
