Overview
You will be responsible and accountable for the shop and the team in the absence of the Shop Manager, such as operating and running the Shop and managing the Shop team effectively. The day-to-day of the role is to assist the Shop Manager and team with the smooth running of the store, ensuring high standards are maintained, whilst accepting and paying out bets and delivering excellent customer service. The role includes opening and closing the business, and in the Shop Manager’s absence you will be responsible for managing the operations of the shop.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the shop and the shop team.
* In the absence of the Shop Manager, lead the operation and management of the Shop and Shop Team, including:
* Opening and closing the shop
* Managing and guiding the Shop Team
* Cash management procedures
* Managing and utilizing the company Time and Attendance system while ensuring adherence from the Shop Team with using the system
* Leading by example and driving the team to maintain shop presentation standards
* Communicating clearly and encouraging colleagues to share ideas on improvements
* Staying focused on Shop results to identify opportunities and drive the team to high standards
* Providing outstanding customer experience
* Educating and guiding the team to deliver excellent customer service
* Accepting bets per procedure, accurately taking and processing customer bets through multiple channels (including betting terminals and in-shop transactions via the EPOS system)
* Acting as a Brand Ambassador, introducing customers to the multi-channel/digital journey
* Ensuring adherence to operational procedures, including cash management and security procedures
* Adhering to Social Responsibility duties

Desirable Skills And Experience
* 1 year Assistant Manager/Supervisor Retail experience
* Industry experience is welcomed but not essential; full training provided to expand knowledge on sport and betting
