We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to support the smooth running of a children’s residential home. You will play a vital leadership role, supporting the Registered Manager, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care for children with emotional and behavioural needs. Key Responsibilities * Assist the Registered Manager with daily operations and compliance * Deliver high-quality, child-focused care and consistent long-term outcomes * Supervise, mentor, and develop residential support staff * Oversee paperwork, care plans, and accurate record keeping * Support safeguarding procedures and embed best practice * Lead rota planning, recruitment, and staff development * Contribute to inspections, audits, and reviews * Build positive partnerships with families, local authorities, and professionals * Provide shift cover where required and participate in the on-call rota Essential Requirements * Level 5 Diploma (or working towards) in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare * Previous experience as Deputy Manager in a children’s home * Background in Residential Support Worker progression desirable * Strong safeguarding and Ofsted knowledge * Excellent organisation, leadership, and communication skills * Enhanced DBS clearance and strong references What We Offer * Salary between £38,000 – £40,000 * Ongoing professional training and development * Clear progression pathway towards a Registered Manager role * Supportive team culture and career stability Apply today to take the next step in your career and make a real difference in children’s lives
