Sales Manager – MRO Europe Business
Job Purpose
The role will be based at our newly created Ontic Tewkesbury site; travel between all of our Gloucestershire sites will be required. To lead and be responsible for the sales growth and development of our MRO business. The role will focus on identifying and executing sales opportunities to generate organic sales growth for Ontic, with a focus on sales and order book growth at the Tewksbury MRO site. You will be expected to articulate and present sales performance and strategies to internal stakeholders and use previous sales data to identify new leads and opportunities to sustain and grow the business.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Identify and execute sales strategies to target key distribution partners and customers
* Personal accountability for achieving the annual delegated sales target, driving spares sales growth in the region within a high‑profile territory, and identifying and delivering growth opportunities
* Develop existing and create new business relationships at senior levels with international customers
* Prepare and deliver complex proposals and negotiate sales contracts with discretion within the Ontic authorisation limit
* Establish, grow, and maintain relationships within customers
* Identify and manage your own sales pipeline of opportunities
* Convert quotes and sales campaigns into firm orders
* Travel domestically and internationally to visit customers and partners and participate in industry trade shows from time to time
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Over 10 years of sales experience, or a role working with customers and driving growth
* Experience managing high‑profile accounts within the aerospace industry
* Experience working with both military and civil aerospace customers
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent experience in an aerospace environment
* Exceptional organisational skills and passion to identify and execute sales growth opportunities
* Technical understanding of systems and components similar to those supported by Ontic
* Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially presentations and Excel for data analysis
* Self‑starter with experience working in a small, flexible team
* Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal
