Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient care.
As an ANP, you will use your expert clinical knowledge and advanced decision-making skills to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of patients. You will be an autonomous practitioner, working both independently and as part of a supportive team to improve health outcomes and enhance the patient experience
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients.
* Prescribe medications and treatments in line with professional competencies and local guidelines.
* Lead on the management of long-term conditions, minor illnesses, and urgent presentations.
* Promote health education, disease prevention, and self-care strategies for patients and families.
* Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, and external agencies.
* Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and service improvement initiatives.
* Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and support to colleagues and students.
Skills
* A registered Nurse (NMC) with relevant postgraduate qualifications at Master's level (or equivalent experience).
* Experienced in advanced clinical practice across a broad range of conditions.
* Skilled in autonomous decision-making, with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Passionate about delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care.
