We are recruiting for Female Support Workers for full-time or part-timeroles (22.5+ hours per week),supporting four ladies in their home in Armadale, West Lothian. Here, we support the ladies to live the best lives possible by supporting them with whatever they need. They are very active in their community and enjoy going to local clubs/groups, meeting new people, going shopping, arts and crafts and listening to music.
The ladies do have some mobility issues, so there will be support required to help them get around, support with some personal care and to administer medication. If you have experience using mobility aids (hoists, walkers etc), that would be great! Your main goal will be to provide the right level of individualised support so they can be as independent as possible and are supported to make their own choices.
We would love to hear from enthusiastic applicants who are interested in developing new skills. If you have a full UK driving license and your own car that’s a bonus but is not essential.
Our team provide support 24/7, so we are looking for flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some weekends and waking nights. Waking nights will be a requirement for all candidates in this role. The shift patterns are:
•07.30 - 15.00
•14.30 - 23.00
•21.45 - 07.30 (waking night)
Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act
