Company Description
Five ID is building the infrastructure that allows us to pay and access just with your palm. We work across the full stack — from terminal hardware to the platform that connects it all. We were founded by two Revolut alumni — Thibaut, formerly a Partner at Revolut, and Maria, who led SMB Payments. We know what great looks like at scale, and we're building it from the ground up. We've closed two financing rounds and we're growing fast. This is a rare chance to join a company at the inflection point — small enough that your decisions visibly shape the product, large enough that the problems are real and the stakes are high.
Role description
This is a role for someone who's been close to product — working alongside engineers, sitting in sprint reviews, helping triage issues — and is ready to make the jump into full ownership. You won't be thrown in at the deep end without support, but you will be expected to hit the ground running and grow quickly. You'll work across our three core domains: the Android-based Terminal app, the Web platform, and the server infrastructure that ties them together. Day to day that means staying on top of the backlog, making prioritisation calls, and being the person engineers turn to when they need a clear decision.
Responsibilities
* Work directly with engineering — getting into the detail of issues, bugs, and feature requests and making sharp prioritisation calls
* Maintain and refine a backlog that reflects real business priorities, not just accumulated requests
* Translate business and operational needs into clear, well-scoped requirements that engineers can act on
* Use data to drive decisions — identifying what's broken, what's slowing us down, and what to fix first
* Contribute across Terminal, Web, and Platform as our product surface grows
What we're looking for
* 2–4 years in PO role, strategy & ops, technical ops, or engineering-adjacent role — you've worked hand in hand with engineers before
* Comfortable getting into the weeds of a Jira board: triaging, labelling, estimating, and keeping things moving
* Strong prioritisation instincts — you can weigh urgency, impact, and effort and defend your decisions clearly
* Technical fluency: you don't write production code, but you understand how systems behave and can have a real conversation about trade-offs
* Fintech, payments, or developer tooling background is a strong plus
What we offer
* A fast track into full product ownership as we scale — we promote from within and we move quickly
* The chance to build something genuinely groundbreaking
* Meaningful equity at the right moment. We've closed two financing rounds. You'd be joining early enough that your equity actually matters, with the foundation already in place to grow
* Flexibility, hybrid / remote-friendly setup. We care about output, not where you sit
* Competitive base salary + equity. We'll be transparent about the range from the first conversation
* High ownership, low bureaucracy — you'll have impact from week one
The interview process
Three stages: an intro call, a practical conversation about how you think through prioritisation, and a final chat with the founding team. We'll move fast and give clear feedback either way.
