Assistant Manager - Luxury Travel Agency
Leading Travel Agency and Tour Operator brand known for its mid to luxury products and personal service is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join their Nottingham Retail Travel Branch. They promote their own holidays and have the flexibility to sell from a wide range of Tour Operators, allowing you to offer customers what they want and enjoy selling various worldwide itineraries, while supporting the Manager and assisting team members.
The Package: Offering a basic salary of £28k per annum plus commission (OTE £35k per annum), with wide-ranging benefits including discounts, pension scheme, season ticket loans, enhanced parental leave, free travel insurance, and more. There are opportunities for internal promotion and training.
Job Description:
* Support and share your travel knowledge with team members, mentoring new starters and existing staff.
* Assist the Store Manager in daily operations, deputising as needed.
* Achieve sales targets by maximising profit and providing exceptional, personalized service.
* Lead, motivate, and develop your team, recognizing individual potential.
* Provide tailored holiday recommendations to clients, understanding their needs.
* Sell holidays from the in-house tour operator or other suppliers to meet customer requirements.
* Manage the customer journey post-booking, including amendments, upgrades, and follow-up to encourage repeat business.
* Work a rota of 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday, between 0900-1730, fully branch-based with no late evenings.
Experience Required:
Previous experience in retail travel agency sales, tour operator, or online travel agency management. Good worldwide destination knowledge and excellent customer rapport skills are essential.
