Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join Partner Rachel Roach’s medical negligence team in Leeds. The role focuses on medical law, including claims involving children with brain injuries at birth and adults with spinal cord injuries. You will:
* Manage your own caseload while assisting senior team members with more complex, high-value cases.
* Handle cases from start to finish, using commercial and analytical skills to identify key issues and propose practical solutions for clients.
* Aim to secure interim payments to facilitate rehabilitation, care packages, and suitable accommodation where possible before claims are concluded.
Qualifications and Experience
* 1 year PQE+ experience in Medical Negligence (we will also consider those due to qualify this year who have completed at least a 6-month seat in clinical negligence).
* Ability to take instructions from clients and provide sound legal advice.
* Technical experience within medical negligence.
* Experience assisting seniors across high-value, complex cases.
* Ability to manage own caseloads with exceptional attention to detail and seamless service.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
