Offer description

About Us We know that growing up isn’t always easy—and sometimes, it can feel completely overwhelming. That’s why we’re here. Our mission is to stand beside young people aged 11–17 during some of the most challenging times of their lives. When emotions run high and mental health takes a hit, no one should face it alone. With compassion, respect, and a youth-centered approach, we provide real support that makes a real difference. The Role We’re on the lookout for a caring, calm, and confident Crisis Support Worker to join our specialist team. This is a unique opportunity to support a young person on a long-term basis as part of a dedicated, around-the-clock solo care package. Every day will look a little different—but your role will always be about connection, safety, and trust. You’ll be someone they can rely on, especially when life feels at its hardest. The work is fast-paced and emotionally demanding, but also deeply meaningful. If you’re someone who shows up when it matters most, we’d love to meet you. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting Daily Living – Help create a sense of structure, stability, and fun through daily routines, meaningful activities, and days out that nurture wellbeing and independence. Providing Therapeutic Support – Use grounding techniques and emotional regulation strategies to help build resilience and self-awareness, always prioritising the young person’s safety and emotional needs. Keeping Accurate Records – Log incidents, interventions, and communications clearly and sensitively, in line with safeguarding and legal standards. Learning and Reflecting – Take part in supervision, training, and reflective practice to build your skills, protect your wellbeing, and continue growing professionally. Helping with Transport – Make sure the young person gets to appointments, education, and social activities safely and reliably. Working Together – Collaborate with key professionals such as CAMHS, social workers, and emergency services to ensure consistent, joined-up care. Requirements Are You the Right Fit? Do you have experience supporting young people through crisis or complex mental health challenges? Can you stay calm under pressure and communicate with clarity and care? Do you believe that every young person deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported? Are you confident using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches? Can you work flexibly—across evenings, weekends, and at short notice? Do you have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle? If you're also bringing experience in secure services, mental health, youth work, psychology, or social care—amazing. But more than anything, we’re looking for people who show up, care deeply, and make a difference. Benefits What We Offer A welcoming, inclusive, and trauma-informed work culture Competitive hourly rates and clear pathways for progression Ongoing training and professional development Clinical supervision and regular reflective practice sessions A chance to make a genuine impact in a young person’s life Casual dress – we care more about how you show up than what you wear Referral bonus – if you know someone else who’s got what it takes, we’ll thank you for spreading the word Apply Now If you’re ready to be the steady presence a young person can count on, we want to hear from you. Join a team that leads with hope, works with heart, and believes that no one should face tough times alone. This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to the nature of the role, which involves working with vulnerable young people. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people is a priority, and all applicants will be expected to share this commitment.
