We are looking to appoint a Transport Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy Hull transport operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner, Senior Planner or Transport Supervisor looking to join a growing business where they can make a genuine impact and further develop their career.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the daily transport operation and ensuring service levels are maintained
* Coordinating vehicle and driver activity
* Liaising with drivers, customers and internal departments
* Monitoring operational performance and resolving issues as they arise
* Supporting compliance across driver hours, WTD and transport legislation
* Assisting with planning, resource allocation and operational efficiency
* Ensuring transport documentation and records are maintained accurately
* Supporting continuous improvement across the transport function
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience within transport planning, transport operations or transport supervision
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Good understanding of transport compliance and driver management
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
* Experience using transport planning systems and Microsoft Office
* Transport Manager CPC qualification desirable, although applications are welcomed from candidates without CPC who can demonstrate strong transport operational experience
