Crucially, you will manage the academy's safeguarding overview: responding appropriately to child protection issues, meticulously recording safeguarding incidents and causes for concern. The role requires attending and providing reports following multi-agency meetings, including Child Protection and MARAC, and initiating referrals to external services like Social Care Direct. Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills suitable for a wide range of audiences, coupled with outstanding time management and organisational capabilities. The role requires the ability to interpret complex situations and the capacity to relate sympathetically to students and recognise potential child safeguarding issues.
