KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors.Job Title: HGV Automotive Engineering Assessor / TutorLocation: Cheshire basedSalary: £38,400 - £42,400 (inclusive of car allowance) - salary depending on qualifications and experienceType: Full Time, Permanent 37 hours per weekEssential Criteria (for all candidates):
* Must hold solid, occupational competency within the Heavy Automotive Engineering and Maintenance sector.
* Must have a working knowledge of Automotive Engineering for HGV and trailers.
* Must have experience within Teaching / Assessing / Training (full training and support will be provided to achieve the Teaching and Assessing qualifications)
* Hold a recognised qualification in Vehicle Mechanics at Level 3 or above.
* Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
* Ideally have an understanding of Apprenticeship programmes.
* Must be flexible with travel.
Duties:
* Assess/mentor learners working towards Apprenticeships in Bus and Coach Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.
* Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
* Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
* Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
* Support, advise and motivate learners.
* Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

* Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
* Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
* Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
* Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
