Offer description

In a nutshell You may currently be working as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant to a senior leader, where you know their diary and working week like the back of your hand. Twiddling your thumbs would be your worst nightmare because you thrive on juggling multiple priorities and take pride in your ability to keep everything on track. Colleagues and managers would describe you as efficient, diligent, personable, and the person who gets things done – that’s naturally who you are. This is a big role and not one for the faint-hearted. But if you’re still reading, you know that a big role means variety, challenge, and the opportunity to make a real impact. No two days will be the same, and that’s exactly what you’re looking for. What you'll be doing day to day Perform PA duties for the Head of Tax, including diary management and logistical requirements to ensure meetings are prepared in a timely manner. Provide PA support to Tax Operational Leads as and when required. Work closely with the Head of Tax to ensure critical strategic projects are on track and delivered on time. Support internal meetings by producing notes, follow-up papers, and ensuring actions are completed. Liaise with Department Heads and colleagues on behalf of the Head of Tax to drive departmental objectives. Draft documents and reports to support strategic and operational goals. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, influencing and collaborating to achieve effective outcomes. Actively participate in firmwide initiatives and internal/external events to build networks and knowledge. Assist with organising and delivering departmental events to foster engagement and alignment with strategic direction. Provide line management to the Tax Business Support team, supporting their development and performance. Attend Partnership and Departmental meetings, taking minutes and reviewing actions. Training: You’ll receive on-the-job training initially, with further technical and skills development supported through our annual review process. Travel: Occasional travel to other offices will be required to support the Tax Business Support team. About you You take ownership of your workload and consistently meet deadlines. You have experience managing sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. You’re a natural communicator who can influence stakeholders and work collaboratively. Previous experience in a professional environment is essential; experience in an accounting setting is advantageous but not essential. You’re confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and quick to learn new systems. You demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail. You can prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks through excellent organisational skills. You’re flexible, proactive, and comfortable driving and embracing change. Ideally educated to A Level (or equivalent) with grades A–C/5–9 in Maths and English.
