Semi-Senior Accountant

* Salary: £35,000
Reed Brighton is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join our client’s Outsourcing department. This role is ideal for someone proficient in management accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT work using Xero. You will engage directly with clients, managing a regular portfolio, ensuring the preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns, and providing support on cloud accounting software.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Direct engagement with clients to manage a regular portfolio.
* Preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns.
* Provide advice and support to clients on cloud accounting software, particularly Xero.
* Work collaboratively within a team of fellow Xero enthusiasts, known for excellent client support.
* Maintain high standards of financial management and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of AAT qualification.
* Xero certification or significant experience with Xero and other cloud software packages like Dext.
* At least 2 years of practice experience in management accounts and bookkeeping.
* Strong knowledge of VAT and CIS.
* Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication abilities with both team members and clients.
* Capability to work accurately and analyse a range of financial information.
* Strong work ethic and a proactive "can do" attitude.
* Demonstrated enthusiasm and ambition in professional development.
