SCHOOL CLASS TEACHER Job Context: Enthusiastic Class Teacher needed for our infant school. We are looking to appoint a creative, highly organised and kind Class Teacher to build on the established successes of our school. St Nicolas C of E Infant School is situated on the edge of Guildford town and is a thriving and happy school. We have 3 classes and a total of 90 children, reception to year 2. An understanding of the nature of small schools and a passion for infant learning are essential, as well as the ability to find joy in the role. We were inspected just last term and are proud to be a GOOD school. We are seeking to appoint someone who: • High commitment to planning and communication to ensure the job-share partnership works well. • Is innovative and creative, able to bring about new ideas and teaching strategies to their class • Uses evidence based practice and pedagogy in their lesson planning, resourcing and delivery • Works well in a team and has a positive working attitude • Is willing to contribute to the inclusive ethos of the school • To offer all learners an effective education in a stimulating environment, which provides equality of opportunity for all • To work in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies • To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school • To lead an area of the curriculum, monitoring and analysing data across the school, organising resources to enable pupils to achieve high standards (unless ECT) Accountable to: the Headteacher / Head of School and Governing Body Salary: ECT welcome (M1/M2) to M6, UPS considered for more experienced candidate Range from £16,538 to £22,518 per annum (pro-rata job-share 2.5 days, with 5 INSET days) Start date: 1st September 2025 This School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
