Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service are recruiting for a Fire Protection Inspecting Officer, on a full time, permanent basis. In return you will receive a competitive salary of £39,862- £44,075 per annum.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) is seeking motivated individuals to join our Fire Protection Department.

Job Objectives
As a Fire Protection Inspecting Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our communities. You will be responsible for conducting inspections across a wide range of premises, ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation, and providing expert advice and guidance. Through thorough inspection and investigation, you will identify hazards and risks, and determine effective solutions to mitigate them.
Your work will cover the following key areas:
Fire safety within premises across our diverse communities
Fire safety in environments where hazardous materials are used or stored
Assessment and enforcement relating to fire protection and safety systems
Issues connected to building construction, refurbishment, materials, and demolition
Skills Required
The successful applicant will be expected to hold a Level 3 Certificate and Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety (or equivalent qualifications) or commit to completing both within a two-year period.
You will bring:
A strong understanding of risk management processes and their practical application.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, detailed, and complex reports.
Effective interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, enabling you to engage confidently with a wide range of audiences
