Job Description
We are seeking full-time Maintenance Assistants to join our facilities team at Marie Curie Hospice.
Location: Liverpool Hospice
Contract: Fixed term, Full-Time (12 months)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00-16:00
Salary: £24,937 - £26,598 per annum (pro rata), plus a whole range of Marie Curie Employee Benefits
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering effective maintenance and portering services, ensuring the hospice environment is safe, functional, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors. This role requires someone who is proactive, flexible, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively, with a strong understanding of health and safety practices and a commitment to upholding the values of hospice care.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
* Recent and relevant experience or level 2 City & Guilds qualification
* Recent experience of working in a similar role
* An appreciation of technological advances in building management and maintenance systems
* An appreciation of COSHH regulations
* An understanding of the basic Health & Safety
* Ability to foster good teamwork
* Ability to prioritise work effectively and efficiently
* Flexible and creative approach to problem solving
* UK Driving License and a vehicle with business insurance
