Your Role as a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) As a Senior Care Assistant, you will provide essential overnight support to our residents while also taking on leadership responsibilities to guide our night staff. Your Key Responsibilities Caring for Our Residents Assisting residents with personal care, bedtime routines, and nighttime well-being. Monitoring residents during the night, offering reassurance and responding to their needs. Encouraging independence while ensuring comfort and safety. Providing companionship and emotional support during quiet hours. Leading the Night Team Supervising and supporting night care staff to ensure high-quality care. Conducting appraisals, training, and mentoring colleagues. Keeping accurate care records and ensuring compliance with regulations. Communicating effectively with residents’ families and healthcare professionals. Assisting the Home Manager with recruitment, team development, and performance monitoring. Maintaining a Safe & Homely Environment Ensuring cleanliness and safety throughout the night. Adhering to care plans and health & safety guidelines. Responding efficiently to emergencies. What We’re Looking For We are seeking compassionate and experienced individuals who: Have leadership or supervisory experience in a care home or similar setting. Hold a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or are willing to work towards it). Are confident in record-keeping, using technology, and guiding colleagues. Have a warm, positive attitude and a passion for person-centred care. Are flexible and committed to night shifts.
