Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner? Do you want to join our Children and Young People's Services (CYPS) in Community Team Northeast Hampshire? Are you passionate about delivering excellent care to our young people and their families? If yes, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Our CYPS Community Team in Northeast Hampshire are a highly supportive, friendly and innovative team covering Hart & Rushmoor. As part of our i-THRVE framework, this team is focused on Getting More Help and Risk Support to Children and Young people. You would join a strong multidisciplinary team offering assessments and interventions to children and young people experiencing psychological distress, emotional and mental health difficulties as well as providing support to our various teams.

We are seeking those professionally registered with NMC, HCPC or SWE and have significant experience of working with under 18 yr olds.


Main duties of the job

My job makes better lives by providing timely interventions that contribute to the care of young people with mental health problems and their families. I will put the experience of the CYP using the service at the centre of my decision making whilst building a supportive and responsive relationship with colleagues.

* Mental Health Assessments
* Risk Assessment and implementation of risk management plans
* Delivering evidence based 1:2:1 and Group interventions
* Use of outcome measures to evidence good practice
* Supervise and support students

Job responsibilities

To provide timely mental health assessments and treatment interventions for children and young people.

To provide support, advice and education to the wider network including the team.

To work individually and jointly within CYPS Northeast Hampshire to provide a specialist, assessment and treatment service to children, adolescents and their families.

Qualifications

* Degree or diploma level qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work
* Registered professional with current registration, appropriate to the job role (NMC, HCPC or SWE)
* Evidence of continuous professional development


Experience

* Demonstrable post qualification experience of working in the community with young people with mental health difficulties and their families
* Experience and ability to undertake Mental Health Assessments, Risk Assessments and use outcome measures to evidence good practice

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

£40,617 to £48,778 a year incl 5% fringe HCAS pro rata per annum
