Job role: Senior Associate - Employment (Immigration)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17: hours per week)

Role overview

Introduction to the role:

We are looking for a technically excellent senior immigration lawyer with demonstrable experience across a full range of immigration law matters, with a minimum level of supervision.

You will be given plenty of client responsibility and exposure but at the same time be part of a supportive team environment

Key responsibilities:

* Provide strategic immigration advice to a range of clients (both corporate and individuals) from initial instruction through to resolution.
* Manage a varied caseload including Skilled Worker, Global Mobility (i.e. Talent Visas), Business-related visa routes asylum and human rights cases and settlement matters.
* Advise employers on sponsor licence applications, assessing whether roles meet minimum level thresholds, compliance, and right-to-work checks
* Supporting corporate clients undertake audits and deliver training on risk mitigation
* Have experience of appeals and judicial review matters
* Provide timely updates and guidance to clients
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent service delivery.
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide holistic legal solutions.
* Keeping themselves and others around them up to date with changes in immigration law and policy

* Contribute to business development.

What are we looking for:

Important criteria:

* Qualified solicitor or equivalent
* Demonstrable experience immigration law advising both individuals and corporates.
* The ability and experience of managing a caseload providing sound commercial advice

It would be beneficial for you to have some of the following:

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* The ability to work as part of a team and independently.
* Adheres to guidelines and procedures.
* An understanding of clients' needs and expectations.
* Flexibility in approach and a willingness to work outside normal office hours, if required.
